Pago de Carraovejas is one of the most well-known wines from the D.O. (Denomination of Origin) Ribera del Duero, produced by the Pago de Carraovejas Winery.

It is a blend of Tinto Fino (91%), Cabernet Sauvignon (6%), and Merlot (3%) varieties. The grapes come from both the winery's own estate and from various vineyards throughout the Ribera del Duero, cultivated under the meticulous supervision of the winery's technical team. The Carraovejas estate is located on the outskirts of Peñafiel, one of the towns with a rich winemaking tradition in the Ribera del Duero, characterized by its calcareous clay soils with red clay.

The harvest is done manually, and the grapes are transported in small vibrating stainless steel trailers, arriving at the winery destemmed, whole, and undamaged. Pago de Carraovejas carries out fermentation in small stainless steel tanks and French oak vats with native yeasts from the vineyard itself. It ages for 12 months in new and semi-new fine-grain French and American oak barrels up to 3 years old. Pago de Carraovejas is clarified with natural egg white and bottled by gravity. It rests for another 12 months in the bottle before being released to the market.

A wine that will delight those who enjoy wines with a distinct barrel influence. Very fine and elegant.
