Bodega Castaño was founded in 1952 by Juan Castaño in Jumilla, Murcia, Spain. The winery has become one of the most important in the region, renowned for its wines made from the Monastrell grape.

Bodega Castaño owns 600 hectares of its own vineyards, located in the best areas of Jumilla. The vineyards are planted with Monastrell, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grape varieties.

Nose: Intense notes of well ripe red and black berries on a sweet spices and smoked background
Palate: The sensation of well juicy fruit returns. The structure is good, the acidity well present. The tannins are sweet, embodying and elegant. Long and rich ending.
Colour: Deep shiny garnet colour with violet highlights
Nose: A complex aroma based on a mixture of ripe black berries, blueberries and raspberries along with delicate clove and pepper spices with cocoa and vanilla nuances.
Palate: Soft and complex mouthfeel flavour with sweet tannins, good concentration and velvety finish.
Nose: Aromas of acacia, raspberry, blueberries and currants appear with notes of graphite (pencil lead).
Palate: It is succulent and fleshy, with sweet and pleasant tannins. Of great purity and texture, it maintains a good structure during all the gustatory phase.
Nose : Penetrating and delicate aromas that bring to mind the memory of white fruits such as pear and apple, and tropical, including pineapple and coconut. Smoky notes wood go hand in hand with scents of spring flowers.
Palate: Fresh on the palate, good consistency and perfectly balanced flavors with its high acidity, smooth and pleasant finish.
