Quintaluna is an ecological white wine made from Verdejo grapes from the Rueda DO, produced by Bodegas Ossian, which was founded by Javier Zaccagnini (who is also co-owner of Bodegas Aalto). Currently the project is part of the prestigious Valladolid winery Pago de Carraovejas.
The grape used by Quintaluna comes in part from pre-phylloxeric vines between 100 and 200 years old (60% of the total) and in part from young vines with organic certification from the Council of Ecological Agriculture of Castile and León (the remaining 40%).
Quintaluna, after going through the corresponding winemaking processes, ages for about two months with its lees in stainless steel tanks. During this time, periodic stirrings are applied.
