Sommos Winery, located in the heart of Somontano, has a spectacular and unique architecture in the world perfectly integrated with the landscape and preserving Nature. A glass and steel prism perfectly integrated into its surroundings. It is buried up to 27 meters underground to preserve the natural conditions of production. They have 355 hectares of vineyards, where they grow the varieties authorized by the Somontano Designation of Origin, the red tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, garnacha, moristel, parraleta and pinot noir and the white chardonnay and gewürztraminer. They have an experimental vineyard, located at Finca Torresalas, where they grow 23 white and 50 red varieties. Its objective is to analyze the possible adaptation of each of the varieties to the soil and climate conditions of the area as well as their oenological potentialities.
